In 2008 he voted against a bill which requires, upon the expiration of an existing collective bargaining agreement with public employees, that the terms of the previous agreement be honored until a new agreement is reached. This bill passed in the House 186 – 128.
In 2007 he voted against raising the minimum wage to $6.50 per hour as of September 1st, 2007 and to $7.25 per hour as of September 1st, 2008
