Today, New Hampshire looks to be moving toward on Right to Work legislation in the state legislature. H.B 474 will be introduced to the LABOR, INDUSTRIAL AND REHABILITATIVE SERVICES Committee. Representatives Hall 10:30 a.m. HB 474-FN, relative to freedom of choice on whether to join a labor union.

Who's pushing H.B. 474 Right to Work in New Hampshire?

Al Baldasaro, Rockingham 3, has voted wrong on labor concerns on a number of occasions.

In 2009 he voted against a bill that requires employers to pay laid off employees their full wages at the time of the layoff. His vote was in the minority in the house, 194 – 164.

In 2008 he voted against a bill which requires, upon the expiration of an existing collective bargaining agreement with public employees, that the terms of the previous agreement be honored until a new agreement is reached. This bill passed in the House 186 – 128.

In 2007 he voted against raising the minimum wage to $6.50 per hour as of September 1st, 2007 and to $7.25 per hour as of September 1st, 2008

Representative Will Smith, Rockingham 18, was elected in 2008. He is President/Chief Executive Officer, Telco Systems Incorporated and Senior Vice President, US West Incorporated.
